NAPEO's Risk Management Workshop has evolved into the largest gathering of PEO risk management professionals, carriers, brokers, and agents. Nowhere else will you find the PEO industry's top risk managers, key insurance executives, regulatory experts, and policy makers gathered for such an in depth look at PEOs and workers' compensation. For 2012, the theme will be 'Emerging Risks of Co-Employment' where attendees will hear from the experts, get tips from leaders in the industry and will be able to take home ideas that they employed back in their office to immediately improve their risk management practices. As the industry progresses, risk management includes more than workers' compensation and the risk managers job is increasingly growing, the educational sessions are geared towards this progression. The workshop has also evolved educationally, it now features hands-on breakout sessions allowing participants to focus their attention on specific topics including the CSA, risk control issues, cyber security, OSHA, general liabilities, and more.

The 2012 Risk Management Workshop is put together in conjunction with the Certification Institute. CI manages the PEO industry's WC Risk Management Certification program. Certification provides independent professional verification that a PEO's risk management program is meeting industry best practices to reduce work-related accidents and health exposures and control WC insurance losses. Certification gives PEO client business owners assurance their service provider has the capability to deliver important risk management results and also provides WC insurance companies with ongoing assurance that a PEO is consistently and effectively implementing industry best practices.
