NAPEO's Utah/Idaho Leadership Council will gather just south of Salt Lake City at Thanksgiving Point on August 17 from 8:30am - 12:00pm, including a networking breakfast. Important issues affecting PEO’s doing business in these states will be discussed, as well as these agenda highlights:

• Representative Robert Spendlove (R) will offer his perspective on ongoing healthcare issues. 
• Kyle Preston, Assistant Director of Appeals, Utah Department of Workforce Services, will discuss the unemployment appeals process, including some of the common missteps made by employers during the appeal hearing.
• Justin Williams, Assistant Director of Benefits, Utah Department of Workforce Services, will touch on unemployment benefits including the fact-gathering process and determinations for eligibility.
• Frank Pignanelli of Foxley & Pignanelli will provide an overview of the political landscape in Utah.
