The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) is The Voice of the PEO Industry^TM. PEOs provide payroll, benefits, regulatory compliance assistance, and other HR services to small and mid-sized companies.

Small businesses that use PEOs grow 7-9 percent faster, have 10-14 percent lower employee turnover, and are 50 percent less likely to go out of business. PEOs work with between 156,000 to 180,000 businesses employing between 2.7 and 3.4 million people and the industry generates between $136 and $156 billion in gross revenues annually.
